"California State Senator Ted Lieu, a Democrat from Torrance, chair of the Senate Select Committee on Air Quality, has sent a letter to Debbie Raphael, California's Environmental Protection Agency director, asking that the State's Department of Toxic Substance Control "conduct a formal investigation of a dangerous toxic situation for California residents who live adjacent to Santa Monica Airport."
