"On Tuesday, my colleague, Dr. Sarah Janssen, attended a hearing of a California scientific panel that identifies reproductive toxicants.  The panel unanimously rejected a chemical industry petition that would have eliminated the National Toxicology Program as an authoritative agency for defining reproductive toxicants in California. This vote was an important win because the industry petition was a bare-faced political attempt to block the listing of bisphenol A (BPA) as a chemical that is "known to cause reproductive harm". We worked hard to make sure the California panel knew the facts before they voted."
