"More than 35 years ago, Ellen Williams was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Since then her four siblings have been diagnosed with the same life-altering disorder.  Monday is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day, when those with the condition and others do their part to educate people about this chronic pain disorder that affects an estimated 10 million Americans.  Locally, proclamations were presented to Williams by White Oak Mayor Ina Jean Marton, East McKeesport Mayor Robert Howard and McKeesport Mayor Michael Cherepko. Mayors from Pittsburgh, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Pompano Beach, Fla., have thrown their support behind those with the disorder."
