"A contingent of at least 10 officials from Duke Energy gave a presentation in the Town Hall Civic Center last Thursday, Nov. 11, in an attempt to allay citizens' fears over the use of herbicide spraying along Duke's transmission and distribution lines through Jamestown. The format of the meeting was to have been a 15-minute slide show, followed by a question-and-answer session. But it quickly deteriorated into a question-and-answer session punctuated by brief interludes of the presentation."
