[Comment: Just a few days ago, I wrote an article entitled ?Gulf Oil Syndrome is on the Horizon http://thetruthaboutmcs.blogspot.com/2010/06/gulf-oil-spill-syndrome-is-on-horizon.html I dicussed how they will liikely name the toxic illnesses the Gulf Oil workers are experiencing something like "Gulf Oil Syndrome" and blame it on mental health just like they did MCS, Gulf War Syndrome, and 9/11 workers. I'm sorry to say that I was correct. It's an abomination! These workers need protective gear and treatment for toxic injuries so they can get well... not mental health programs!]

The impasse has prompted Louisiana to make an argument with significant implications for disputes over BP's liability: that BP is responsible for mental health problems believed to be caused by the spill."
