Don't delay the Child Nutrition Bill

The National School Lunch Program hasn't been updated for years, and schools are struggling to meet the demand for fresh, local food. The Senate has introduced a bill with new funding for healthier food, stronger nutrition standards, and grants for linking schools to local farms -- but it's been stalled by Senate leadership, and may be postponed for another year or two. Instead of much-needed help, school lunch programs could end up with the same old status quo.
Please tell your Senators to make child nutrition a priority. Here's the message we'd like to send on your behalf:
"Do what's best for America's children, and sign the Lincoln/Chambliss 'Dear Colleague' letter, which asks Senate leaders to schedule time for the Child Nutrition Bill ASAP."
