Minimal Fragrance Policy on Flowers
"Orillia's Soldiers Memorial Hosptial out with a reminder to people about flowers. The Hospital is asking people not to forget its minimal fragrance policy, particularly in regards to flowers, and personal care products. Hospital spokesperson Terry Dyni says they are doing this because of the negative impact strong scents can have on the health of patients and staff, especially those who may be allergic or asthmatic. He says the smallest amount of certain fragrances or scents can trigger a reaction that could incapacitate someone or require them to avoid normal activities."
