Dirty Air Acts in Congress:
Brought to you by big, corporate polluters

"Congressional cronies of the nation's biggest polluters are at it again: They are hard at work authoring a wave of bills aimed at exempting their dirty energy friends from strong air pollution limits.

This league of Dirty Air Act authors in the Senate and House are looking to give their polluter pals free rein to dump carbon dioxide pollution into the air—at the expense of public health and the American quality of life.

On January 31, two of these legislative attacks were introduced in the Senate by Sen. John Barrasso and Sen. Jay Rockefeller. Meanwhile in the House, Rep. Fred Upton is crafting his own version. These attempts to weaken global warming pollution controls were written by special interests, for special interests.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is trying to do what it was created to do: protect Americans from pollution. There is currently no limit on the amount of carbon dioxide that polluters can pour into the air, so there is no way to hold the worst of them accountable.

Please tell your senators and representatives in Congress to oppose these attacks on clean air in America!"
