"Staff at the school believed the student was using the cough as a way to get attention. They claim she would stop coughing when she made it down to the nurse's station.
But all of it is too late for this parent, who moved his daughter to another school after Thanksgiving break.
"She's never had any respiratory issues prior, and since she's been out she's been fine, hasn't been to the doctor, hasn't coughed, nothing - it disappeared," said the parent."
