HOUMA – The cologne-wafting woman local police believe caused at least two men to feel ill and light-headed was arrested Thursday, after being pulled over near the Hollywood Video parking lot on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Patches Wegmann, 22, of 1449 Spanish Oaks Drive in Harvey, was charged with simple battery and unlawful solicitation after she sprayed perfume on a 26-year-old man's arm outside a store in a Martin Luther King Boulevard shopping center, said Maj. Malcolm Wolfe, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman. She was with three other men who were released and not charged.

Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident. At this time, it is unknown what, if any, noxious fumes are in the perfume mixtures. If anyone has any information concerning similar activities, they are encouraged to call the Sheriff's Office at 876-2500.
