Multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) is an environmental illness (EI) in which negative neurological, pulmonary, cardiac, and rheumatic health effects, among others, are experienced from exposure to common environmental chemicals including fragrances, cleaners, pesticides, and other petrochemicals at concentrations that are below regulatory toxicity thresholds and that are normally deemed as safe.

A surprising number of people report sensitivity to ordinary everyday chemicals.  The figures range from an average of eleven to seventeen percent, with spikes as high as thirty percent of subjects who report reactions to multiple chemical incitants.

Lourdes Salvador, president of MCS America, asserts "Patients, doctors, and researchers will find current and pertinent research and media news delivered to their inbox when subscribed to MCSA Feeds."

MCS America is solely operated by volunteers.  For additional information e-mail MCS America, admin@mcs-america.org or visit www.mcs-america.org.
