"In this month's news, NIEHS announces the launch of the Gulf Study and joins sister agencies in support of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves. NIEHS/NTP Director Linda Birnbaum testifies on Agent Orange and is one of four scientists briefing Senators and Representatives on endocrine disruption.

Awards go to grantees Frederick vom Saal and Michael Karin; trainee Barb Kowalcyk; NIEHS scientists Joan Packenham and Retha Newbold; and authors of a paper from the Mitochondrial DNA Replication Group.
